| Etablissement Mercier. Made in 1920, finished in silvered bronze. Signed Et. Mercier to the base. This most unusual and dramatic subject was beautifully engraved and extremely rare. It is interesting to note that the claws and tail of the creature protrude over the edge of the base, giving an extremely lifelike third dimension to the overall effect. Photographed and described in Michel Legrand book 'Mascottes Passion' Plate 486. |

| Condition : Absolutely first class with amazing detail. Wonderful patination of 80 years. The whiskers are the originals. |
