French Name : Cinq Cheveaux
Cinq Cheveaux (5 horses) amethyst tinted glass mascot by René Lalique. This piece was the only one of all his radiator mascots to be produced especially for a car, the Citroen 5 CV and he was commissioned to produce a special mascot for this company on 26 August 1925. It was the very first mascot Lalique created. Moulded mark R.Lalique with France etched.
First Introduced : 26 August 1925       Catalogue No. : 1122       Dimensions : 150mm high.
Condition : Superb condition, really pristine example. Now very rare indeed.
