1928 Lalique Opalescent Glass Sultane Box & Cover

French Name : Sultane
'Sultane', an extremely rare opalescent glass box and cover, depicting a seated nude, squatting down, cross legged, her hands held behind her backward swept head. The base of the box decorated with stylised leaf decoration. Square section. Opalescence of a good strong blue intensity, centring on the figure and base. Etched mark R.Lalique, France. Originally made in opalescent glass, later only made in frosted and stained glass, and discontinued in 1939.
