French Name : Six Figurines et Masques
A wonderful early clear glass vase with sepia staining, depicting six nude women rising upwards from the flames of hell, embodied by the lusting horned smiling satyr faces below. c.1912. Each of the six figures are in totally different poses, including one rear stance. Script mark R.Lalique, France under base. Examples of this vase are now extremely hard to locate. A wonderful subject and one for a true collector.
First Introduced : 1912       Catalogue No. : 886       Dimension : 243mm high.
Condition : Really superb totally original condition, excellent detail, with the original staining giving great definition to the figures. The satyr faces are beautifully executed. No moulding flaws, chips or grinding whatsoever. Usual tiny scratches under the base, totally commensurate with the great age of this piece.
