French Name :
Senart
|
Exceptionally rare and fine vase with Art Deco depictions of squirrels in various poses amongst branches and foliage. This vase is beautifully finished in deep Black/Red glass, the outer surface being etched into and frosted to give superb definition and enhancement to the squirrels. Stencilled mark R.LALIQUE, FRANCE under the base. This is an exceptionally rare vase to find even in clear, stained and opalescent glass, but the amazing colour of this example is surely the most beautiful of them all.
