1919 Lalique Grand Nue Statuette

French Name : Grande Nue Socle Lierre
Beautiful gigantic nude female statuette with her floor length hair cascading around her body, set on a decorated glass base, with a frieze of intaglio moulded ivy, in turn supported on its original 1919 ebonised hardwood base with Chinese motif pierced decoration. It is extremely rare today to find an example of this fantastic creation, and even more amazing to find one with its totally original wooden mounting base still intact and in superb condition. The marking on the glass is R.Lalique engraved in script with the original production number '836' also engraved on the base.
This outstanding and extremely rare figure is made in the original white frosted glass, and only a few remain today.
First Introduced : 1919       Catalogue No. : 836       Dimensions : Figure 39cms high, base 3cms high.
Condition : Absolutely superb and totally original condition, with excellent detail. The base glass mounting post is intact and superb under the wooden base, this base can be easily removed for inspection.
