This is a very simple set, with just a thermos flask and sandwich box. Really more of a set for a very quick luncheon in the lunch break, than one for a family picnic. Being made by Asprey, it is still fairly valuable today, and would have been carried by the owner in his Austin, or possibly even in the sidecar of his motorcycle! It actually seems odd that Asprey actually produced such a small set, but I have encountered many through the years, so they were obviously a good seller at the time.
